You already have a business idea or two, the rest is in getting people to know about. Design, or get someone to design a business card that will to know the people he knows and does not know (yet). include the marketing plan: who, what, where and how of the company. This will help determine the best place to spread the word. A free Web site (geocities, etc) would be good too, so people could see pictures of your product. Gift Baskets are a very visual that customers will have to do first, or have a fairly close idea of what they are getting. People could check out a website 24 / 7 and get your information contact and to send their friends, while you're handing your card. (Which reminds me, put the website on your credit card information by mail address and phone number). Whether you offer office services customers use, cook dinner, or sell massage, this strategy must be a good place to start. Best of luck.
